The State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday rescheduled the dates of conducting panchayat elections after the Supreme Court has pronounced the verdict. No changes in the dates of the second, third, and fourth phase of polling. The first phase of polling will be held on February 21.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికలకు సుప్రీం కోర్టు గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చింది. ఎన్నికలు నిలిపేయాలంటూ ప్రభుత్వంతో పాటు ఉద్యోగ సంఘాలు దాఖలు చేసిన పిటిషన్లను సుప్రీం కోర్టు కొట్టేసింది. పిటిషన్లపై విచారణ జరిపిన జస్టిస్ సంజయ్ కిషన్ కౌల్, జస్టిస్ రిషికేష్ రాయ్ నేతృత్వంలోని బెంచ్ ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియలో తాము జోక్యం చేసుకోబోమని స్పష్టం చేసింది.
